SENIOR ESTIMATOR

Commencing operations in 1999, Killard Infrastructure Pty Ltd is a multi-functional Infrastructure Company that has gained an outstanding reputation in the fields of water main renewals, retic and trunk mains, sewer system installation, stormwater, culvert remediation, Civil, electrical structures, and gas pipelines.

Due to continued growth we are seeking a Senior Estimator to assist with our journey

You would be  working in a collaborative environment as part of team of business   professionals including Construction Manager, Project managers, and administrative support.

 

Role expectations

 

  • You are self-motivated, proactive, thorough, persistent, collaborative and determined to succeed. Your prior experience in an estimating role is essential with at least 5 years’ experience
  • Development of estimates to reflect the project delivery methodology and win strategy
  • Scope of works and specification analysis
  • Coordination of project reconnaissance and site visits
  • Participation in client pre-tender meetings
  • Subcontractor and supplier analysis and selection
  • Participation in all stages of estimate evaluation and review
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to formulate budgets and coordinate reviews and approvals
  • Assist internal estimate review processes prior to submission
  • Participation in the project kick-off phase of successful bids
  • Analysis of unsuccessful bids and incorporation of lessons learned into future bids
  • Provide genuine input to deliver better value for money
  • Obtain and prepare competitive estimations for the tender process
  • Review Tender specifications, drawings and related technical documents
  • Assisting in writing quality submissions

 

 

Skills and Education:

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Excellent ability to translate practical project delivery to a cost estimate
  • Mathematical and analytical skills
  • Sound experience and understanding of contract principles
  • General knowledge of engineering and hydraulic principles, preferably pipeline networks
  • The ability to prioritise often conflicting activities and schedule your time and that of others accordingly
  • An unwavering commitment to safety, business improvement and achieving results
  • Degree qualified preferrable
