We’re building new drinking water pipelines and infrastructure as part of a long-term plan to extend our city’s water capacity and supply.
Yesterday we celebrated the completion of 18 kilometres of pipeline in five sections between Prospect South and Macarthur that will support growth areas in Western and South Western Sydney.
The supply area for this pipeline includes the Liverpool LGA, the South West Growth Area and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, including Cecil Hills, Cecil Park and Kemps Creek.
The last connection was made yesterday at a ceremonial valve turn in The Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan.
The 18km pipeline installation has been made possible in collaboration with Delivery Partner ACCIONA Australia and principal contractors Killard Group, Diona, Athassel Civil, Ferrycarrig Construction, Vaughan Civil Pty Ltd and Comdain Infrastructure.
