As part of the South West Growth Area plan, Sydney Water devised a recycled water scheme. The total project value of more than $100 million had the John Holland Group oversee close to $40 million of groundwork for piping and the construction of large reservoirs around Hoxton Park and Edmondson Park.
Lend Lease was awarded work laying about 30 kilometres of underground piping for the project.
