Project Background
Parkes Shire Council is currently advancing infrastructure to meet the growing demands for bore water within the township of Parkes and local surroundings. The forthcoming construction of a pre-treatment facility for river and bore water signifies a pivotal step in enhancing water supply reliability and quality for local residents and industries. The water will be primarily used for industrial purposes and irrigation. The necessity for this pre-treatment facility arises from the escalating growth and heightened water requirements within the community. Once operational, the facility will serve as a crucial link, pumping treated water directly to the Parkes Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for further processing and distribution.
