Project Background
The recycled water pipeline is the backbone and the first step of the Goulburn Reuse Scheme. It serves as the crucial link between the wastewater treatment plant, where the recycled water is produced, and the green fields irrigated throughout Goulburn. This project is key to the success of the entire Reuse Scheme, ensuring the optimal delivery of recycled water across the township.

Scope Of Works
Killard’s scope of work involved the construction of over 10 kilometres of recycled water pipeline, utilising mPVC pipes (lilac colour) known for their 100-year lifespan. Key components of the project included:

- Boring Under Railway and RMS Roads: Ensuring minimal disruption to existing infrastructure while laying the pipeline.
- Pipe Installation Across Wollondilly River: Facilitating the flow of recycled water to all designated areas.
- Laying Through High-Pressure Gas and High-Voltage Areas: Managing complex and high-risk environments to ensure safety and reliability.
- Commissioning of the Line: Thorough testing and commissioning to guarantee the pipeline’s functionality and performance
